Kim Dong Hyuk is an interdisciplinary filmmaker, researcher, and designer working at the intersection of computational technology and applied design. As a research intern at Design Informatics Lab, Hanyang University, he researches the application of AI and HCI to design, developing methodologies that bridge data-driven analysis with creative workflows. while as a project lead at FORUM D&P Inc., he merges architectural techniques with cinematic approach.

His interest in emerging technologies is reflected in his projects. He has developed a multimodal AI pipeline that applies computational methodologies to Cinematics, enabling a quantitative analysis of how shot compositions create emotional shifts. Another investigation into impact of 3D pre-visualization for film storyboarding examines efficiency gains in camera and lighting setup while maintaining creative shot composition. His work with generative AI tools further explores new possibilities for narrative scenario visualization.

His primary focus on film and visual storytelling informs his research foundation. Dong Hyuk's work in filmmaking has been invited to and awarded at numerous international film festivals. In parallel, he contributes his visual and directorial skills to campaign projects for clients such as Adidas and the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company. Grounded in his studies in Film, Architectural Design and Ai, Dong Hyuk consistently seeks to create new things for compelling experiences.
